Wheelchair Basket Ball South Africa celebrates World Disability Day
Johannesburg: With Sasol having entered their 9th year in partnership with Wheelchair Basketball South Africa (WBSA) this year, the upcoming U23 African World Championship Qualifier taking place in South Africa from 7 – 11 December 2016 will provide a suited platform to celebrate World Disability Day taking place on 3 December 2016.
As part of Sasol’s continued support of the South Africa U23 National Team, Sasol and WBSA will be commemorating World Disability Day by visiting the Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Garankuwa. The hospital was built in 1972 and has been providing quality health care services to vulnerable groups for the past 44 years.

The South Africa U23 National Team will be spending the day at the hospital to reinforce their support, and motivate the patients to continue living a positive life.
Gerald Smith, WBSA Team Manager said. “WBSA is proud of the hard work and dedication that the South Africa U23 National Team exudes, and hope that some of the patients at the Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital will be inspired.
